About This Station

The site you are viewing is maintained by Burgus Computers and manage by Troop 5. The weather station equipment is directly connected to a computer that is running 24 hours a day 7 days a week. A Davis Vantage Pro Plus used for temp, humidity, wind, precipitation, solar, and barometric pressure. Data is collected every 2.5 seconds and updated to the web site every 10 seconds. A Boltek Lightning Detector, Nexstorm, StormVue, and WASP2 are used for lightning detection and radar images. Weather Display is the main software used and is used to uplink most everything to the web site.

About This Website

Burgus Computers is proud to support Troop 5. They are the original Boy Scout Troop of Stronghurst. The Bean Burners, as they are called, have a long colorful tradition here in Stronghurst Illinois.
